Built to Last: Augustana Extends NIL Partnership with Opendorse

(Sioux Falls, S.D. and Lincoln, Neb. – July 16, 2025) – Augustana University has renewed its NIL partnership with Opendorse, continuing a longstanding commitment to provide trusted support for their student-athletes, coaches, and staff.

As the first Division II school to partner with Opendorse back in 2020, Augustana set the standard for what NIL support can look like beyond the Division I level. Five years later, that commitment remains unchanged. By renewing this partnership, Augustana reaffirms its trust in Opendorse to deliver consistent education, tools, and guidance to help its entire department succeed.

“We’re excited to continue to offer our student-athletes the opportunity to capitalize on true name, image, and likeness opportunities through Opendorse,” said Josh Morton, Vice President for Athletics. “They’ve been a great partner from the beginning in helping Augustana Athletics live out a philosophy statement focused on the holistic experience for all Viking athletes.”

“We’re proud to support Augustana’s commitment to their athletes by providing best-in-class NIL education and support for their athletes,” said Jake Daugherty, Manager of Collegiate Partnerships at Opendorse. “Together, we’re setting the stage for student-athletes to achieve success on the field, in the classroom, and in life.”

Augustana continues to prioritize education as a core part of its NIL strategy, providing student-athletes with access to the Opendorse Masterclass and on-demand NIL Education Library. The university remains committed to helping its athletes build their brands and take advantage of every opportunity. NIL isn’t just for some, but for any school that’s willing to invest in its people.
