(Lawrence, Kan.– March 31, 2025) – Kansas Athletics today announced an innovative and long-term partnership with Opendorse, the leading NIL data, technology, and service company. The collaboration will further cement the two innovative entities as leaders during a transformational time in college athletics.
Opendorse’s industry-leading core technology products are included as part of the NIL 360 package. The expanded relationship includes access to:
- Opendorse Rev-Share Ready™ for future planning
- Opendorse Team Builder for roster management
- A Premium Marketplace for enhanced NIL opportunities for all student-athletes
- High-quality educational resources (in-person and virtual)
- Custom assets and materials from Opendorse’s marketing department
“We have been a proud partner of Opendorse over the last four years and are excited to elevate that in this next chapter,” Kansas Director of Athletics Travis Goff said. “Opendorse has proven to be a progressive and adaptable leader in the changed landscape of intercollegiate athletics, which aligns with our vision of sustained excellence for Kansas Athletics.”
The enhanced Opendorse partnership comes on the heels of additional investments in student-athlete success. Kansas Athletics recently partnered with Deloitte for consultation around the transition toward revenue sharing in college athletics. The Jayhawks launched FLIGHT, a joint venture with Kansas City advertising agency Walz Tetrick, to provide education and resources for corporate endorsements and brand building.
Working closely with Deputy Athletics Director – External Affairs & Revenue Generation Jason Booker and Senior Director of NIL Casey Morrow, Opendorse has built custom dashboards and new products specifically for Kansas student-athletes that are based on their unique needs and opportunities.
“Blake and his team have been exceptional partners in building out custom solutions that fit the needs of Kansas in this ever-changing college athletics environment,” Booker said. “We always want to be on the front end of innovation and provide the best opportunities for our student athletes to maximize revenue through endorsements while providing education and a platform that is user friendly”.
Kansas Athletics was also the first school in the country to use Opendorse Team Builder as the Jayhawks Football staff helped develop the product to enhance operations. The market data, budgeting and roster management platform was built so sport administrators can plan, allocate, and manage resources efficiently.
“From the beginning, Opendorse has been a leader in the NIL space and a valued practice in KU football’s roster management,” Kansas football general manager Rob Ianello said. “When I had a question, they had an answer. It has been exciting to be on the ground floor in developing Team Builder as a daily tool in managing the needs of our current roster and forecasting the future.”
The custom-built partnership also comes with on-demand access to Opendorse experts, daily engagement with their designated partnership General Manager and Collegiate Operations Leadership Team.
“Our relationship with Kansas is why we do what we do. It’s all about working together in true partnership to bring innovative solutions to life – products and services that truly make a difference,” said Opendorse Co-Founder & President, Collegiate Operations Blake Lawrence. “The Jayhawks team is second-to-none, from Travis and the administrative team to the coaches and support staff. As the world of college athletics continues to change daily, KU will continue to stay ahead of the game.”
