Position Summary: The Assistant Executive Director manages daily operations of the property to include the nursing department, resident activities, housekeeping, and resident relations .
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of previous experience or equivalent experience in managing an independent assisted living community.
- Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with co-workers, residents, family members and business partners .
- Ability to make complex decisions requiring a high degree of judgment. Decisions affect the overall operation of the facility. Bachelor’s is not required, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred with equivalent experience.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations :
- Completion of Residential Care Administrative Course or Licensed Nurse preferred.
Functions and Responsibilities :
- Oversee all operations related to providing quality service to residents to include maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility, engaging activities, and caring nursing staff.
- Responsible for annual budget projections, financial forecasting and the maintaining of such.
- Completion of reports required by governement agencies, administrators, or the Company.
- Responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the community, including financial health, compliance, adherance to federal guidelines, and maintaining posivie relationships with external vendors.
- Ensure all resident relations issues are addressed promptly and satisfactorily by maintaining a strong line of communication with residents and their families .
- Develop and foster an engaging and inclusive work environment .
- Responsible to ensure the facility’s all departments are adequately staffed at all times.
- Completion of reports required by government agencies, Executive Director, or the Company .
- Responsible for maintaining the community to Company standards.
- Responsible for achieving or meeting occupancy targets.
- Responsible for ensuring that the community is meeting its revenue goals, leading to the community’s annual success
Physical Demands: Position requires extensive sitting for long periods of time throughout the day. Manual dexterity needed for computer work with keyboard and mouse. Requires talking, seeing and hearing with reasonable accommodation. Requires travel to and from external business activities. Some lifting/bending/stooping for transfer of files to different events/communities .
Work Environment: Position requires the majority of the work to be performed indoors. Inside working conditions are in an office setting.
